CAIRO -27 March 2022: Presentation, the sponsors of the Egyptian national team, funded the national team's trip to Senegal for the game against the Lions of Teranga in the second leg of the final round of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. The national team departed Cairo on Sunday after holding a training session in the morning. Presentation, in cooperation with SAIB Bank and Alsafy Group, provided a plane to carry the Egyptian fans who will attend the game and support the Pharaohs from the stands of Diamniadio Olympic Stadium. The national team's squad included Ramy Rabia and Ali Gabr, who were added to the team to replace the injured Mohamed Abdelmonem and Mahmoud El Wensh, who will miss the game for suspension. Egypt secured a 1-0 win on Friday night, which gives the Pharaohs a slight advantage in the second leg.

CAIRO – 27 March 2022: The Ministry of Health and Population launched Sunday an initiative aimed at the early diagnosis of liver cancer, and the treatment of cirrhosis patients. The ministry pointed out that the screening includes cancer marker tests, and urtlasound scanning. The Ministry of Health and Population announced in February that 1.6 million citizens had been screened for kidney disease since September. Executive Director of the "Early Diagnosis of Nephropathy" initiative Emad Abdel Satar had told press earlier that 4,500 screening devices have been made available at healthcare units nationwide providing 30-second tests. Abdel Satar noted that once a kidney disease case is identified, the patient is offered free treatment at the closest hospital.

CAIRO – 26 March 2022: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi spoke with Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud on Friday, said Presidential Spokesperson Bassam Rady. Over the call, President Sisi stressed Egypt's full solidarity with the government and people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to confront all attempts that seek to undermine the stability of the Kingdom and the Gulf region, Rady said. His Excellency stressed that the security and stability of the two brotherly countries are interrelated, Rady added. The call was conducted after the terrorist attacks launched by the Yemeni Houthis against the Saudi oil facility of Aramco in Jeddah on Friday evening. The Egyptian Foreign Ministry voiced Egypt’s strong condemnation of the continuation of the Iranian-backed Houthis’ terrorist attacks against the kingdom.

The initiative is being prepared in cooperation with the African Union (AU) and African energy ministers, the minister said during his participation in a ministerial discussion session. The session was held under the theme "The International Energy Agency Community" and was attended by the energy ministers from 44 countries. It was held on the sidelines of the International Energy Agency (IEA)’s 2022 Ministerial Meeting. Mulla also underlined the global role in providing the necessary financing and technologies to the African continent in order to support it in obtaining clean energy with low carbon emissions. The Egyptian Mint Authority entrusted the task of issuing these commemorative coins. The Suez Canal Authority (SCA) will hold, on Tuesday, a big celebration to mark the first anniversary of the authority’s success in refloating the Panama-flagged ship Ever Given, which had previously run aground last March in the southern entrance of the shipping channel. Ever Given, a Japanese-owned 400-meter-long container ship, operating under Panama’s flag, remained stranded for six days and blocked the international navigation movement through the canal. on March 29, the authority successfully refloated the ship, which was allowed three months later to leave Egyptian waters after signing a settling agreement between the Japanese company and the Suez Canal Authority.

CAIRO – 24 March 2022: Benito Mussolini, an Italian warrior of World War I and publisher of socialist newspapers, founded the National Party on March 23, 1919. Named after the Italian peasant revolutionaries, or "fighting guerrillas" of the 19th century, Mussolini's new right-wing organization was known as the Fascist Party and advocated Italian nationalism. CAIRO – 23 March 2022: Egypt has submitted a request to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to start negotiations about a new program that seeks to support Egyptian state’s plans of national comprehensive economic reform, the Egyptian Cabinet said. In a statement, the Cabinet said the program, which comes in light of the Russia-Ukraine crisis’s impact on global economy, may include additional funding for Egypt. Also, the Egyptian government aims to continue efforts to implement the necessary economic and structural reforms to ensure the preservation of the path of strong, balanced and sustainable economic growth, Saad said. Egyptian pound depreciationOn Monday, the Egyptian pound depreciate by 14 percent, reaching LE 18.32 to the dollar by Wednesday. Head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) team in Egypt Celine Allard stressed Monday that Egypt has a strong capacity to repay its foreign currency obligations.

CAIRO – 21 March 2022: The International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination is celebrated annually on the day that police in Sharpeville, South Africa, shot and killed 69 people participating in a peaceful demonstration against apartheid "pass laws" in 1960. In 1979, the General Assembly adopted a program of activities to be carried out during the second half of the Decade of Action to Combat Racism and Racial Discrimination. An international framework to combat racism was created, guided by the International Convention on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. It prohibited racial discrimination to include all core international human rights instruments. The principle of equality requires states to take special measures to eliminate conditions that cause or help perpetuate racial discrimination.

CAIRO – 20 March 2022: The Ministry of Transport stated Saturday that a new batch of trains to be operated on the LRT, which began pilot operation a few days ago, has arrived, raising the number of delivered units to 18 up from 12. Egypt has signed a contract with a Chinese company to supply 22 trains for the LRT, planned to transport 500,000 passengers per day as it connects Salam City with 10th of Ramadan City through the New Administrative Capital (NAC). The LRT will be operated by a French company for 15 years. He elaborated that the project will serve various social segments, and that it will begin operation over phases. The other under-progress projects carried out by Egypt are the high-speed electric train, the monorail, and the fourth metro line located in Al Haram Street.
