If she refuses to consent to polygamy, and the husband insists on his request, the court shall try to make an attempt to reconcile them.”If the two parties insist on their positions, and the wife requests a divorce, she will be judged to get her financial rights resulting from the divorce, and the husband must deposit them in the court’s treasury within a month from the date of the ruling, otherwise he will be considered retracting the request for permission to polygamy. CAIRO - 12 April 2022: Head of the Medicines Division at the Chamber of Commerce, Ali Auf, said that the Egyptian state manufactures 92 percent of its needs of medicines, while only 8 percent are imported from abroad. Auf stated, in TV statements, on Monday evening, that there is no increase in the prices of many medicines, adding that the number of medicines with an increase in prices is not large, compared to the increase occurred in 2016. He pointed out that the prices of medicines were moved in 2016 at a rate of about 7,000 types of medicines, but during the current period there is an increase in prices for only about 10 medicines. Auf explained that the Egyptian Medicines Authority is the one who allows imports, stressing that international drug bills and prices are reviewed, and comparisons between drug prices in Egypt and international prices take place. He added that the pharmaceutical industry is not left to personal whims, stressing that it is not possible to increase or decrease the quantities of medicines without the approval of the Egyptian Medicines Authority.

CAIRO – 10 April 2022: A team of archaeologists, restorers and engineers from the Supreme Council of Antiquities succeeded in restoring the obelisk of Queen Hatshepsut residing near the Sacred Lake in the Karnak Temples for decades. The team of restorers with the erected Hatshepsut Obelisk - Min. Carved from pink granite, the obelisk is about 11 meters high and weighs about 90 tons. It is decorated with inscriptions depicting Queen Hatshepsut and her relationship with the deity Amun. CAIRO - 10 April 2022: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s initiative for the early detection and treatment of hearing impairment targets newborns for all children in Egypt, including non-Egyptians, said Health Ministry Spokesman Hossam Abdel Ghaffar. The initiative aims at detecting hearing impairment among newborns, Abdel Ghaffar added in statements to "Good Morning Egypt" program aired on Channel one TV. Early identification of hearing impairment before 5 years of age substantially improves the socio-linguistic and cognitive development of child, he further said. In case of existence of any problem, a re-examinationwill be held within a period between 3 to 4 weeks, he went on to say. Earlier, the Health and Population Ministry announced that 2,854,764 newborns have been surveyed since the launch of the initiative.
