It’s traditionally served for breakfast throughout North Africa and the Middle East, but shakshouka is also a vibrant brunch dish and a warming, homey dinner. The base of shakshouka is flexible and forgiving, thus amenable to additional ingredients and varying heat levels. This recipe nudges the stew into dinner territory with the hearty additions of chickpeas, wilted greens and spicy sausage. These ingredients are optional; for a meatless option, add black olives to the ragout and feta cheese scattered over the top. Once the eggs are set, remove the shakshouka from the heat and garnish with chopped parsley or cilantro.

Why the Existing Fundraising Model is not Sustainable1 – Agenda-setting: The landscape of international funding for community development is often a double-edged sword. Nonprofit fundraising in Africa has been marred by economic disparities, external dependencies, and changing political landscapes. Nonetheless, in the dynamic landscape of African fundraising, securing sustainable funding is a perpetual challenge. We acknowledge that diaspora remittances are private (sent directly by immigrants to their families in Africa for personal/family use) but it still presents an exciting possibility of sustainable fundraising for local NGOs. ConclusionAddressing the existing fundraising system in Africa and its linked challenges requires a multifaceted approach.

Libya natural gas production has decreased by 8 percent due to the progressive depletion of existing wells, according to the country’s Audit Bureau. The North African country’s gas output was 861.96 billion cubic feet in 2022 (24.40 billion cubic meters), or 79.73 billion cubic feet (2.25 billion cubic meters) less than set target of 941.7 billion cubic feet (26.6 percent). But production net of other items such as flaring (the wasteful combustion of gas that is released spontaneously in the extraction phase, a highly polluting phenomenon widespread especially in eastern Libya) is much lower, equal to around 12- 15 billion cubic meters of gas: this is also due to infrastructure deficiencies, lack of maintenance and the political divisions that have afflicted the North African country for years. In this regard, it is worth remembering that in the summer Saipem was awarded a contract worth approximately 1 billion dollars with Mellitah Oil & Gas BV Libyan Branch, a consortium made up of National Oil Corporation of Libya and Eni North Africa, for the development of Bouri Gas Utilization Project (BGUP). In particular, the contract involves the engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation and commissioning of an approximately 5,000 tonne gas recovery module (GRM) on the existing DP4 offshore structure, together with the installation of 28 kilometers of pipelines connecting the DP3, DP4 and Sabratha platforms.

The ruling Algerian junta has sparked a diplomatic crisis with another neighboring country, proving beyond doubt to be a regional pariah and a source of instability. It has already strained relations with Morocco, Spain, France, Mauritania, Tunisia, Niger, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt, and Libya. The reckless Algerian regime added fuel to the fire when President Abdelmajid Tebboune received radical Imam Mahmoud Dicko, opponent of the Malian military junta. The move irked Bamako which summoned immediately the Algerian ambassador to protest against Algiers “unfriendly acts” seen as blatant meddling in Mali’s domestic affairs. These successive setbacks exacerbated the Algerian regime frustration after unsuccessful bids to join the BRICS and host the African Nations Cups of 2025 or 2027.

Mohamed Amine Htiouich began honing his metal engraving skills as a teenager. The long-standing tradition, which has been practised across North Africa and the Middle East for centuries, was last month added to UNESCO's intangible heritage list. But while it is gaining recognition abroad, local artisans regret that metal engraving remains undervalued at home and suffers from a lack of government support. In recent years, there’s been a rise in graffiti artists with spray painted murals down the street from ancient mosques. Despite its muddied history, Libya has many rich cultural experiences that showcases its Saharan beauty and importance in history. Another example of Hip Hop culture on international shores, the graffiti art in Libya showcases both country’s creativity and cultural history. While not all of them allow visitors to enter, just seeing the exterior of most of them is enough for those seeking cultural experiences. For an example of an ancient, Libyan mosque, visit the Atiq Mosque in Ajdabiya.

The mad results on 26 December 1963 – 66 goals in 10 games – are celebrated every year by English football fans and tabloids alike. 1963 Boxing Day Football Results RevisitedDespite predictions from forecasters warning the nation to brace for the worst, the anticipated big freeze never arrived during Christmas 1963. Nottingham Forest and Sheffield United battled it out to a 3-3 draw as did Wolves and Aston Villa at Molineux. The lowest-scoring game of the day came at Filbert Street where Leicester City beat defending champions Everton 2-0. As if the results on Boxing Day weren't bizarre enough, it all felt like the scriptwriters had concocted a dreamlike revenge sequel when the teams met again two days later in a rematch of those games.
