The National Cyber-Forensics and Training Alliance (NCFTA), which brings together governments and companies to fight cybercrime globally, asked an employee of the Postal Service in July 2016 to find out who had posted letters to Barclays board members, according to a document. It is unclear why the NCFTA, a not-for-profit organisation based in Pittsburgh, was involved in the matter, which was initiated by Jes Staley, the chief executive of Barclays.
