It says much about the ambition at Leinster that straight after winning a third trophy in two seasons, much of the talk was focused on their shortcomings this season. The pain of losing the Heineken Champions Cup decider two weeks previous still lingers. Three trophies from four finals is a superb return given where Leinster were as recently as three seasons ago, yet this campaign has raised plenty of questions about their future. Their bench is not as strong as it was 12 months ago, the departures of Isa Nacewa, Joey Carbery and Jordi Murphy a considerable loss of quality and experience. Joe Tomane was the only arrival, and his contribution has been limited to say the least.
