The company just announced that it has sold 70.6 million PS4s, including Slim and Pro models. They also have reached 2 million PSVR sales, better than the Rift and Vive have sold, but the VR industry as a whole still is not the healthiest. SonyAt this pace, Sony should be on pace to outperform both the PS3 and 360, which ended their life cycle with about 84 million sales each. It’s less clear if the PS4 could reach the heights of the Wii or the original PlayStation and 101 and 102 million sales respectively. And we may be living in a time when no one ever catches PlayStation 2, which sold 155 million units worldwide.
