Sir Tim Shadbolt has been accused of not being a good leader of the city council but he says his track record speaks for itself. Better leadership was needed to help turn things around on the council, so they could work effectively as a team and get things done. Shadbolt said he had shown council leadership during the years on major projects. The council had supported the film industry and there had been a big push for events under his leadership, he said.
