San Diego Chargers Make Plans to Move North to L.A.

Team owner Dean Spanos has been trying to reach a deal with public officials for funding for a new stadium in San Diego for much of the past decade. Spanos hasn’t filed any formal relocation papers with the National Football League or informed his own organization or officials in San Diego, but those events could happen in the coming days. The Chargers sought permission to move to Los Angeles last year, but NFL owners instead approved the relocation of the Rams to Los Angeles from St. Louis.
