Pregnant woman torture case: Nakla OC to be withdrawn

Meanwhile, Sub-Inspector Omar Faruk of Nakla police station was attached to Sherpur Police Lines on Thursday night over the same incident. Doly Khanam, a pregnant housewife, was tied to trees, and kicked and punched, over a land dispute at Kaida village in Nakla upazila on May 10. On June 12, a case was recorded by Nakla Police Station naming nine people, being ordered by the police superintendent. Investigations revealed negligence in duty by the OC, and the SI, sources said.
