Kamarudeen Ogundele, Ado EkitiThe Elders caucus of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ekiti has confirmed former Governor Ayodele Fayose as the leader of the party in the state. They dissociated themselves from the purported stakeholders meeting which had earlier declared the Senate Minority Leader, Senator Biodun Olujimi, as the party leader. Rising from their meeting held in Ijesa-Isu, Ekiti, the elders, who expressed concerns about the various factional meetings held by members of the party, declared support for the Gboyega Oguntuase-led State Executive Committee. The meeting was attended by a former deputy governor and chairman of the caucus, Paul Alabi; a former PDP state chairmen, Chief J. Ademuagun; Chief Bola Oluojo; Chief Idowu Faleye; Chief Idowu Odeyemi, Mrs. C. O. Adesoro and the incumbent PDP chairman, Gboyega Oguntuase. In a communique signed by Alabi (chairman) and Olu-Ojo (Secretary), the elders urged members of the party to resolve their differences and work for the victory of the PDP in the presidential election.
