PCSO ‘open’ to graft probeBy The Manila Timeshome/News/Top Stories/PCSO ‘open’ to graft probeThe Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) welcomes the decision of the Office of the President to leave the investigation of alleged “corruption” in the agency to the Office of the Ombudsman, PCSO spokesman Marissa Medrano said in a statement on Friday. “The PCSO is open to all forms of investigation and encourages its officials and employees to subject themselves to any formal investigation by any investigating body. The PCSO board, its management and its employees stand by its value of professionalism. The PCSO is optimistic that the investigation would be a means to cleanse the agency if there really were corrupt officials and employees among its ranks, Medrano said. The allegation of corruption against former PCSO general manager Alexander Balutan has prompted the Senate to call for an investigation.
