Margibi County – At least 146 girls between the ages of 13 and 20 years have received sanitary pads in observance of the International Day of Menstrual Hygiene under the theme: “BLEED WITH PRIDE”. The Menstrual Hygiene Day is an annual awareness day scheduled for May 28 each year that is celebrated worldwide. The day seeks to highlight the importance of good menstrual health management. She said there is a need to empower women and girls through all sector which supports and achieving 4 and 5 of the Sustainable Development Goals. Damaris Jackson, Public Relation Officer of Book Before Boys Inc. encouraged girls to embrace themselves and avoid been bother during their menses.
