MANILA, Philippines — Manila Electric Co. (Meralco) and its partners plan to spend around P1 billion to build the facilities for power distribution services in New Clark City in Tarlac. The budget for the New Clark City distribution infrastructure is seen at “P1 billion more or less,” Meralco senior vice president Rogelio Singson said. “The plan is underground, smart city, yes. For the initial phase, he said they are projecting a demand of 10 to 14 megawatts (MW) for New Clark City. New Clark City will house a world-class sports complex in time for the Philippines’ hosting of the 2019 SEA Games.
