It’s not as though the government would be telling its employees exactly what to say. I mean, to the threat to minority language rights in such provinces such Ontario and the threat to majority language rights in Quebec. But if the border guard simply begins the conversation with the words “Dif-tor heh smusma,” before launching into French or English, who’s that going to hurt?
