Man faces trial after 'offensive emails' sent to pro-remain MPs

A 72-year-old man has been charged with allegedly sending grossly offensive emails to six MPs including Conservative party Brexit rebels Dominic Grieve, Anna Soubry and Nicky Morgan. David William Hall is facing trial on seven counts of improper use of a public electronic communications network, the Crown Prosecution Service has confirmed. “He is accused of seven charges of improper use of a public electronic communications network,” the CPS said. It is alleged that the emails were grossly offensive or of an indecent, obscene or menacing character. It is alleged that emails were sent on two separate occasions to Grieve, the former attorney general and MP for Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire.
