The Insurance Regulatory Authority of Kenya's technical compliance officer, Joshua Mwongela, said the "product is as good as the seller" and most agents had zero knowledge on the insurance business. "You (insurance agents) are selling a promise and you must be seen to be as good as the product,” he said. AKPIA seeks to champion the interests of insurance agents.
