Khalifa Haftar - the commander of the self-styled Libyan army in east Libya - has ordered the director of crime investigation department Salah Al-Hawidi to welcome any recruitment application from the fighters of Special Tasks Force of the deputy interior minister Faraj Egaiem, media office's head of the crime investigation department in Benghazi, Walid Al-Arfi has disclosed. Egaiem himself came under attack inside his own headquarters in eastern Benghazi. Al-Arfi told Libyan News Agency in Al-Bayda that the department of crime investigation will welcome the fighters as per Haftar's orders, saying that their registration will be at the department in Hadaek neighborhood in Benghazi before they become part of the law enforcement. However, forces from Dignity Operation led by Haftar stormed Saturday the headquarters of Special Tasks Force headed by Egaiem in Bodzira, Benghazi. The pro-Haftar forces controlled the building after Egaiem and his forces withdrew to Bersis, in eastern Benghazi.
