Monrovia - The Liberty Party has been cited for conference on an action of debt by a local business firm, TAS Group of Companies. The agreement was signed on July 31, 2017 at the Liberty Party (LP) headquarters in Congo Town in the presence of several high-ranking party stalwarts including LP's Chairman Benjamin Sanvee who signed on behalf of LP. According to the complaint, LP only disbursed US$8,000 out of the US$58,500 and has subsequently failed to settle the balance. Liberty Party’s lawyer, Cllr. Charles Brumskine – the party’s political leader – but he’s currently out of the country.
