Both of Britain’s new Formula One drivers showed that they were winners as youngsters in karting. Sitting in a plush five-star hotel in central London last week, Lando Norris and George Russell looked unflustered by the enormous obstacles that they will have to contend with this year. The British rookies will compete in their first Formula One grand prix at the season opener in Melbourne on Sunday. Norris, driving for McLaren, and Russell, for Williams, are about to fulfil a life-long dream. Norris, 19, joins a team who have struggled in recent years with reliability and pace.
