JD(U) supremo Nitish Kumar to visit Delhi today


New Delhi: Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar is headed for the national capital today where he is expected to attend a meeting of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) partners. There are a total 40 Lok Sabha seats in Bihar. RJD contested 20 seats this election as part of the ‘mahagathbandhan’ or grand alliance with the Congress, which contested nine seats. While BJP won 303 seats, the NDA stormed back to power with an even bigger mandate than in 2014. In 2014, the RJD won two seats, while BJP and its allies won in 31 seats in Bihar.
