The Israeli Deputy Head of Mission, Nadav Goren, has urged Nigerians to stand against electoral violence in the 2019 general election and promote sustainable peace. The Mission’s head said that the call for resilience against electoral violence had become imperative because of the need for peace, unity and sustainable development. “I call on the government and people of Nigeria to have a strong stand against violence to ensure that the forthcoming election will be peaceful. According to him, the contest resonates a message of peaceful coexistence and development of the strong ties between Nigeria and Israel. NAN reports that the contest titled “living peacefully in the promised land” sought to encourage peaceful co-existence in Nigeria and preach against violence.
