International food safety conference opens in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia today aiming at building up political support to address global food safety challenges. Researchers from around the world are expected to reflect on different topics related to food safety during the two days meeting. The issues raised includes:– the burden of food-born diseases and the benefits of investing in safe food;– safe and sustainable food systems in an era of accelerated climate change;– science, innovation and digital transformation at the service of food safety; and– empowering consumers to make healthy choices and support sustainable food systems.
