Sergio Garcia flew into a four-shot lead at the Nedbank Golf Challenge after an eight-under 64 on Thursday (Friday NZT) secured the biggest first-round advantage on the European Tour for a year. Kiwi Ryan Fox is six shots back in a share of 11th, after carding a two-under 70 to start the tournament in South Africa. Fox mixed three birdies, and an eagle - on the par five 10th - with three bogeys, and is tied with South African Branden Grace. The 38-year-old Garcia is seeking a second straight victory after winning last month's Andalucia Valderrama Masters, which his foundation sponsors.
