“Passengers can seek the assistance of wheelchair by approaching the Station Master on duty and ask for a wheelchair with seat access. They will have to mention their alighting station so that the information is passed on to the station concerned and the guard. The on-board house keeping staff on the train will assist passengers to alight at the particular station. The foldable wheelchair is light in weight, user-friendly and manoeuvrable, which will help the passengers to move easily along the aisle and reach their seat. Wheelchairs are provided in all the stations of the zone to facilitate needy passengers boarding and de-boarding the trains.
