ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar on Thursday directed WAPDA [Water and Power Development Authority] to give a timeframe till December 24 for the construction of the Diamer-Bhasha Dam. He said that the court’s decision on Diamer-Bhasha and Mohmand dams has become final as no review petition was filed against it. He added that an implementation bench has been constituted to ensure the completion of the work according to the timeframe. The Attorney General will be the focal person of the implementation bench, he added. The bench also asked about the required amount for building the dam and how the funds will be arranged for the purpose.
