The New York African Restaurant Week has already begun! This celebration of African cuisine, restaurants and chefs is an opportunity to support your local businesses and promote diverse voices in the global culinary movement. Participating Harlem restaurants include Ponty Bistro (Senegalese), Londel’s (Southern), Tsion Café (Ethiopian), Le Baobab (West African), La Savane (African Fusion), Solomon & Kuff (Caribbean) and others. This Saturday, Oct. 13, at MIST (@MISTHarlem, 46 W. 116th St., 646-738-3043, www.mistharlem.com) come enjoy a taste of Africa at the African Restaurant Week Festival. Check out more than 25 restaurants/food vendors representing cuisines from all of Africa, chefs, cooking demonstrations, live music and DJs creating an Afrobeats day party, and more than 30 non-food vendors representing fashion, beauty, arts and culture.
