A 5-year-old girl has uttered her first words after being shot in the Christchurch terrorist attack, which left her fighting for her life in hospital. The girl, who has court ordered name suppression, was shot three times when walking hand-in-hand towards the Deans Ave mosque with her father on March 15. The little girl was taken to hospital in Christchurch and transferred to Starship children's hospital in Auckland. Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern paid the family a visit in hospital, donning a traditional head scarf for the occasion.
