A magnitude 4.3 earthquake struck Leyte past midnight of Tuesday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said. A Phivolcs report indicated that the earthquake struck West of Kananga at 1:01 a.m. The tremor had a depth of 8 kilometers and had a tectonic origin, report showed. ADVERTISEMENTThe quake was also felt in the following areas:Intensity IVCapoocan, LeytePalompon, LeyteIntensity IICebu CityEarlier, the east of Albuera Leyte was also jolted by a magnitude 3.7 quake at 5:59 p.m. of Tuesday. Phivolcs said no damage and aftershocks would be expected from the two quakes.
