This came after last month’s arrest of Margaret Waithera Kamande, who had an international warrant against her for burglary. DCI boss George Kinoti, in a statement, said that Lavender and Elizabeth had warrants of arrest against them for jumping bail. Ms Waithera was arrested in Tanzania and arraigned in a Zimbabwe court but got bail and sneaked back into Kenya. Police spokesperson Charles Owino says there is an upsurge in the number of women involved in crime and blames it on changes in the way of living. A government survey released last year showed that the number of women who have turned to crime had increased, compared with 2017, and currently stands at 15,221.

Kenyans will on Sunday be able to gain entry into the Nakuru National Park, take a safari walk and visit the park free of charge, KWS Director-General Brigadier (Rtd) John Waweru has announced. Europeans vote, with EU future in balanceA man casts his vote during European Parliament election in Riga, Latvia, May 25, 2019. However, exit polls in some countries that have already voted have given pro-EU parties some comfort. The Dutch Labour party, all but written off, looks to have finished first, helped by the visibility of having the EU socialists’ lead candidate, current EU deputy chief executive Frans Timmermans. In the Netherlands pro-Union parties scored 70 per cent, up three points on the last European Parliament vote in 2014, and left the upstart anti-immigration party of Thierry Baudet fourth on 11 per cent. An exit poll after Friday’s vote in deeply pro-EU Ireland pointed to an expected “Green Wave”.

CBK Board Chairman Mohammed Nyaoga, Governor Patrick Njoroge and Deputy Governor Sheila M'Mbijjewe were all appointed on June 19, 2015 for four years. The four-year term will end on June 18, which is just about three weeks away. However, the fact that their contracts are all ending around the same time does not augur well for an institution so crucial in regulating the banking sector. While Dr Njoroge looks set for a second term, there has been scrutiny as the governor came in the crosshairs of MPs. The lawmakers accused him of contempt of parliamentary authority and imposing his own “regulations” on the banking sector, which they claimed had stifled liquidity in the economy.
The past three decades have seen a major expansion of university education, growing from one public university in 1984 to 31 public universities and six constituent colleges in 2019. The thinking within government was that in the era of decreased State funding for universities, the policy would help generate revenue for public universities through privately sponsored students. Public universities found themselves, unfortunately, adopting private values that are not in line with the age-old principles that govern knowledge generation, dissemination and social responsibility. UNEDUCATED STATEMENTSThey say 31 public universities and six public constituent colleges are too many for Kenya. In universities’ ranking of the last 10 years, UNISA has often been rated among the top 10 best universities in Africa.
In order to keep the public wage bill at manageable level, what is SRC doing about the many consultants and advisers in government who are taking civil servants’ jobs? David M. Ombuor, Homa BayThe public wage bill is a factor of the number of public officers and amount of pay. Whereas SRC is in charge of pay, Public Service Commission (PSC) and other employing bodies are mandated to establish and abolish offices, thus controlling numbers in the public service. Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro wants the CDF funds distributed according to the needs of a particular constituency. The MP has proposed a law to amend the CDF Act to change the system of disbursement. The MP said the current system where all constituencies receive the same amount of money disadvantages vast constituencies such as Kiharu. “The core functions of CDF is to support education and security sectors and the bigger the constituency the more the projects that need funding,” the MP said. The MP now wants the government to consider the number of schools and students in a constituency to determine the amount of money to allocate it.

HOW TO GRIEVERiziki Ahmed, a psychologist based in Nairobi, says shock is the first step of the grief process. "That's why we call it the denial episode because they are not ready to process the loss," she said. "Let children feel what they're going through. "You must also learn to be comfortable in their silence and let them process their loss," Ahmed says. Be truthful and let them be part of the funeral to the level they can understand," Ahmed says.

"Make a plan for your financial assets and don't be overly optimistic about your remuneration and income." Many denounced the US and proposed China ban McDonald's, Coca-Cola and all-American movies and TV shows. Anticipatory Bail therefore refers to bail in anticipation of an impending arrest. As anticipatory bail by its very nature preempts arrest, it cannot have basis under Article 49 of the Construction. A magistrate’s court should not decline jurisdiction to hear and determine an application for anticipatory bail pending arrest." The learned Judge cannot purport to grant magistrates' courts jurisdiction where none has been by law given. The power to grant of anticipatory bail is clearly an exclusive jurisdiction of the High Court and the Magistrates Courts are excluded in the exercise thereof.
