Choudhary had earlier questioned the appointment, stating his reluctance to “authenticate” it. The cricket board’s acting secretary and the CoA are at loggerheads over several issues of late – the appointment of GM, Marketing, day/night Test in India and Choudhary’s rebuttal to a 12-point CoA directive, curbing the powers of the office-bearers. Advocate Rizwan Merchant, representing Rizwan Siddiqui, said the allegations are baseless and his client had not got a notice from the police. The police, on the other hand, claimed that they had served Rizwan Siddiqui notice, but he refused to accept it, after which he was arrested from Mumbai. The city got five new machines for a crucial test that patients with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) have to undergo regularly. Mumbai had four such machines but patients had to wait for up to two months to get their test results. The CD4 test counts the number of T-cells in the patients’ body that offer immunity against infections. “The CD4 test facility was previously available only at the four major medical colleges – KEM, JJ, Sion and Nair, so they had a high workload. At present, there are 36,501 HIV patients in the city who are on treatment, all of whom need to undergo the CD4 test every six months.

Andrew McCabe, the former deputy director at the Federal Bureau of Investigation fired by US Attorney General Jeff Sessions on Friday, kept detailed notes about his interactions with President Donald Trump, according to a source familiar with the matter. McCabe has said he believed his firing was because he corroborated former FBI Director James Comey's claim that Trump tried to pressure him into killing a probe into Russian interference in the 2016 US election. (Was it wrong to have climbed the steps of Great Wall?) Since I already had a replica of the Great Wall of China, I was hunting for a small bust of Mao Zedong. We do not have a monocultural social system in India. One way or another, cultural differences are here to stay.
