KARACHI: Omni Group tycoon Anwar Majeed and his son Abdul Ghani Majeed have approached a banking court seeking post-arrest bail in the fake bank accounts and money laundering case. The banking court issued a notice to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on the application in this regard on Saturday. The FIA was ordered to submit its response to the bail plea on next hearing to be held on Jan 23. In July, Lawai was arrested in connection with the probe along with Anwar Majeed, and his son, Abdul Ghani Majeed, were also arrested by the FIA. Lawai, Majeed and his son remain under custody for interrogation.
