KUALA LUMPUR: Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr S. Subramaniam today reiterated that employers can take action against employees who buy fake medical certificates (MCs). Meanwhile, Malaysian Medical Association (MMA) president Dr Ravindran Naidu said that counterfeit MCs were usually produced by government clinics. However, employers should also be understanding and accept legitimate MCs issued by doctors. Anyhow, the association does not condone fake MCs,” he said. Both parties were commenting on a recent case in Melaka where two men were nabbed for making, printing and selling fake MCs.
